A few end of spring random thoughts….
…and with the warm weather comes a ton of memories of summers past and excitement and what to come…favorite memories:
…Saturday mornings. The kitchen radio tuned to WLIB. Soca and reggae music playing. Windows wide open, sun shining, breeze blowing.
…playing running bases or manhunt or sitting on joanna steps and making up dances/songs or just making fun of each other (more likely making fun of the haitian family across the street. haitians weren’t in style back then)
…vacation bible camp. 2 weeks of acting the fool and going to church. best time was when my brother put all his clothes in a black garbage bag and forgot them there.. my mother was soooo mad!
..pool parties and my best friends house across the street. hanging out there so long her mother would ask ‘isn’t it time for you to go home now? ‘ lol
…the mini street markets on tilden and utica avenue.. you can get ice cream, shave ice, a dress, sandals, bottleg dvds & cds, umbrellas, calendars, gum, roast corn, batteries, books to read, hats, jewlery, flags & accesories representing your home country, peanuts & cashews, and my personal favorite, sliced mango in a sandwich bag.
…taking a walk at lunch time and just feeling reinvigorated by the sun and air.
simple things but they brought/bring me joy…
Thank you! To me writing is kinda like working out. When you start, is hard and you can't bend and lift like the pros but the more you do it the better you get.
Unfortunetly it's been some time since I last blogged and I feel rusty and unable to bend and lift like I used to but I'm going to get back in there and work myself back into top writing shape.

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
